Gulf Coast Center for Law and Policy (GCCLP) is a US national leader in organizing communities and elevating strategies that advance climate justice and human rights to support a just transition away from extractive economies. GCCLP has helped to establish the multi-state initiative Gulf South for a Green New Deal, and helped position the Red, Black, and Green New Deal as a National Black Climate Agenda and the central climate policy of the Movement for Black Lives. GCCLP’s transformational efforts center in Black and Brown communities as the leaders of climate solutions through their own organizing and self-governance.
