Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Earthlife Africa is working diligently to advance a society where there is respect for all living things, an end to exploitation, and all resources are equitably distributed. They have mobilized and litigated against new coal and nuclear developments in South Africa, organized with labor unions for a just transition, and fought for the implementation of widespread renewable energy infrastructure through large-scale and mini-grid projects. In 2020, they launched a new project to identify and mentor the next generation of women climate leaders in South Africa.
