On a Saturday in June, religious and pro-democracy groups, climate activists, labor unions, and more banded together in a rally urging low-income voters to participate in the midterm elections. Reverend Dr. William J. Barber II, co-chair of the Poor People’s Campaign, also spoke at the rally on the disproportionate impacts of Covid-19 on poor and low-wealth communities across the country.
